NEVER GIVE UP YOUR GUNS - Exploding the myths about guns and crime

Guns are NOT just for self-defense, hunting, target shooting or collecting. When all is said and done guns are the last and best resort against government tyranny.

Don’t take it from me, heed well the words of the lead draftsman of the Declaration of Independence and the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson:

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

Why all the hysteria and lies about guns from those who want to control guns? The answer is simple - those “gun-grabbers” want to control much more than just your guns, they want to control YOU!!

Sadly, experience has shown that the best way to subjugate and control a population is by eliminating the means of resistance through gun controls and eventually gun seizures.


They disguise their desire for dominance by using catchwords and catch-phrases, such as “guns kill” and write articles and produce video specials urging people to turn in their guns. They urge you to rely on the police. What they don’t tell you is the actual results of draconian gun control and gun seizure legislation. Nor do they tell the truth about police protection. Why? Because the police are usually, almost always actually, not on the scene when a crime is committed, but only show up after the fact to clean up the mess, track down the criminal and bring him to justice.

Gun grabbers lie about statistics and in their hatred of guns often become hysterical. But every once in a while, the truth leaks out from their own lips. They inadvertently expose their leftist, anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-people agenda. They expose their ultimate desire - to rule with an iron fist.

History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Hitler’s plan to disarm his would-be opponents led to the destruction of every sovereign nation in Europe save two: England and Switzerland. With his “enemies” neutered by gun seizures, Hitler was free to unleash a holocaust on Europe that led to the deaths of 20 million people.


If you still don’t think most gun-grabbers have an agenda, read the following words carefully. Written by an American, in these three short sentences the speaker admits the ultimate goal of the species is the ultimate banning of all guns leading to total disarmament. I would guess that would include knives, archery equipment and pitchforks.  The gun-grabbers will “distort the facts” and lie. They seek zero resistance while they kick our Constitution to the curb, run over it with a bus and implement a socialist form of government.

The gun-grabbers don’t want you to think about such things as government-created holocaust or genocide. Oh no. They distort facts and lie so you will think guns are inherently evil and cause murders and are to blame for most accidents and homicides. The result of this propaganda blitz has caused even some gun owners to believe that maybe society would be safer with gun controls of some type. The socialists, meanwhile, calmly go about working their plan, always keeping their ultimate goal in sight. That end goal is gun seizure.

Pete Shields, Executive Director of NCCH, which changed its name to Handgun Control, Inc. in 1978,
warned the gun-grabbers that progress would be slow but in his mind inevitable.

"I'm convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We're going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily - given political realities - going to be a very modest (one). Of course, it's true that politicians will then go home and say, 'This is a great law. The problem is solved. . . .‘” Shields said. “So then we'll have to start working again to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen the next law, and maybe again and again. . . . Our ultimate goal - total control of handguns in the United States - is going to take time. My estimate is seven to ten years. The first problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of ALL handguns and ALL handgun ammunition - except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors-totally illegal." Looking at the gun-control issue from the perspective of guns used in murders, accidents and crime reduction, here are a few FACTS.

As of 2009, the United States has a population of 307 million people. Based on production data from
firearm manufacturers, there are roughly 300 million firearms owned by civilians in the United States as of 2010. Of these, about 100 million are handguns.


In 1976, the Washington, D.C. City Council passed a law generally prohibiting residents from possessing handguns and requiring that all firearms in private homes be kept unloaded and rendered temporally inoperable via disassembly or installation of a trigger lock. The law became operative on Sept. 24, 1976.

During the 12-year span the handgun ban was in effect, the homicide rate in D.C. went from 26 deaths per 100,000 people to an astounding 80 deaths per 100,000 people. The Washington, D.C. murder rate averaged 73% higher than it was at the outset of the law, while the U.S. murder rate averaged 11% lower.

Nationally the homicide rate was about 10 per 100,000. In short, the chances of being killed with a gun in D.C. was EIGHT TIMES GREATER after the unconstitutional handgun ban went into effect.

On June 26, 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling, struck down this law as unconstitutional in D.C. v Heller. Not all the Justices agreed with the decision and based their dissent on faulty statistics and hysteria. The four dissenters were, naturally, Justices John Paul Stevens, David Souter, Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In their collective opinion they cite as fact, based on a report by the local council committee, that the goal of the handgun restriction was “to reduce the potentiality for gun-related crimes and gun-related deaths from occurring within the District of Columbia” According to the committee, “for every intruder stopped by a homeowner with a firearm, there are 4 .gun-related accidents within the home.”

The committee report cited no source or evidence for this statistic. The reason is there is NO EVIDENCE TO BACK UP THE STATEMENT - only hysteria and lies.

The facts are that nationwide in 2007, there were 613 fatal firearm accidents in the entire U.S. which constituted 0.5% of the 123,706 total fatal accidents from all causes. Compare the firearm fatalities with fatal car accidents, for example, which claimed 34% of the total U.S. accidental deaths.

Non-fatal accidents tell a similar story. Of the nearly 16,000 emergency room visits for non-fatal firearm accidents in 2007, only about 5,000 resulted in hospitalization. Of 27.7 million ER visits for all non-fatal accidents, falls led with 46% of reported incidents with firearm accidents next to last with 0.05 percent.

Granted, of the 16,272 murders in 2008, 10,886 (67%) were committed with firearms. But three states that instituted “right to carry” laws have seen notable declines in murder.

The Texas murder rate has averaged 30% lower than before right to carry laws, Michigan has averaged 4% lower and the Florida murder rate is down 34%.

By contrast, countries that have banned all firearms have seen marked increases in their murder rates.

In 1920, Britain passed a law requiring civilians to obtain a certificate from their district police chief in order to purchase or possess any firearm except a shotgun. The certificate had to specify the types and quantities of firearms and ammunition that the applicant could purchase and keep.

In 1968, Britain made the 1920 law stricter by requiring civilians to obtain a certificate from their district police chief in order to purchase or possess a shotgun. This law also required that firearm certificates specify the identification numbers ("if known") of all firearms and shotguns owned by the applicant.

In 1997, Britain passed a law requiring civilians to surrender almost all privately owned handguns to the police. More than 162,000 handguns and 1.5 million pounds of ammunition were "compulsorily surrendered" by February 1998. Using "records of firearms held on firearms certificates," police accounted for all but fewer than eight of all legally owned handguns in England, Scotland, and Wales.

So, the murder rate went way down, right? WRONG. The British homicide rate has averaged 52% HIGHER since the outset of the 1968 gun control law and 15% HIGHER since the outset of the 1997 handgun ban.

AUSTRALIA

Ed Chenel, a police officer in Australia, wrote an article for Polidics.com, and gave an update on the nation's 12-month-old gun control law. Under the provisions of that law, honest, law-abiding citizens surrendered 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by the government.

But instead of the great reductions in crime the government sought to achieve, exactly the opposite occurred. Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent, assaults are up 9.6 percent and armed robberies are up 44 percent.“In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent," Chenel said. "While the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!"

Chenel also noted that armed robberies with firearms had been in decline for the past 25 years, but that trend abruptly changed for the worse when the gun seizures took place. Chenel attributed that rise in armed crime to the fact the criminals are now guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.


“There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home," Chenel said. "Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in ‘successfully ridding Australian society of guns.’ You won’t see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information."

“The Australian experience speaks for itself. 

“Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens," Chenel said. "“Take note Americans, before it’s too late!”

Gun control freaks insist they must “close the gun show loophole.” But are gun shows really where criminals are getting their guns, or is this just another bit of socialist feel-good thinking?

Well, it isn’t at gun shows like puddin’ head liberal/socialists want you and the gullible public to believe.
A 1997 Justice Department series of interviews with nearly 15,000 state prison inmates who carried a firearm during the offense that landed them in jail. Of that group nearly 40% admitted they got the firearm from a friend or family member; 39% from an illegal street source; 8% from a retail store, 4% from a pawn shop, 1% at a flea market and only 0.7 percent from a gun show.

Kinda nice having a few FACTS on your side, isn’t it?

I had hoped to reproduce McFadden's entire speech on the Federal Reserve Corporation here because it is of such earth-shaking importance to us today. I discovered it is much too long so I have instead placed the link to his speech here and will give you here some selected comments.

"...we have in this Country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks, hereinafter called the Fed. The Fed has cheated the Government of these United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the Nation's debt. The depredations and iniquities of the Fed has cost enough money to pay the National debt several times over."

"This evil institution has impoverished and ruined the people of these United States, has bankrupted itself, and has practically bankrupted our Government. It has done this through the defects of the law under which it operates, through the maladministration of that law by the Fed and through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it."

Reading top center to bottom center the bill says: This certifies that there have been deposited in the Treasury of the United States ten dollars in gold coin payable to the bearer on demand. There is no such inscription on Federal Reserve Notes.

WHAT WE HAVE NOW - below: Fiat (paper money with no silver or gold backing) notes from the Federal Reserve, a non-governmental banking cartel. This worthless "money" is loaded with Illuminati symbolism that is totally lacking on constitutional money.

When a government committee was considering submissions for the designs of both the front and back of the Great Seal of the United States, Benjamin Franklin's design was promptly rejected. I may be prejudiced, but of all the designs I like Franklin's best. Here it is below:

Franklin's design depicts the Egyptian Army being destroyed by God with Moses holding aloft his staff and the burning bush in the background. The slogan needs no interpretation: REBELLION TO TYRANTS IS OBEDIENCE TO GOD.

The selection preferred by the committee is still simple and easy to understand. Here it is below:

The unfinished pyramid was chosen to represent the strength of the pyramids of Egypt, 13 steps to represent the original 13 states, unfinished to represent a still-growing nation, and the all-seeing eye of God above.

The slogan; DEO FAVENTE PERENNIS is literally translated as: With God's Favor Through The Years or With Everlasting Favor From God.

The design finally chosen is shown below:

An accurate translation of the words "Annuit Coeptis" is: "Providence favors our undertakings" or "Providence has favored our undertakings." (The word "our" is supplied.). It has also been translated as: "He favors our undertakings" or "He has prospered our endeavors."

The bottom part of the motto consists of three words: NOVUS which is translated as "New" followed by ORDO which is translated as "Order," and SECLORUM which is translated as "Ages." The literal translation reads: "A New Order of the Ages," or more accurately, "New Secular Order." Secular means not concerned with religious or spiritual matters. In other words a rejection of God.

Whatever the experts decide, it doesn't take an expert to know the Federal Reserve notes are technically worthless. Just go to any bank and try to buy a silver dollar and hear what they tell you.

THE FEDERAL RESERVE - An early history and how the system works

How did a handful of bank owners lead nations into war, destroy empires and stir up world-wide conflict? How did these international bankers secretly plan for the demise of America’s economy while at the same time infiltrating every level of government, society and, of course, high finance?

The answer is a long-ago hatched plan to bring America to its knees so these international bankers (the Federal Reserve) and financial elitists could put in a world-wide system known as the One World Order. America’s part of the international banking cartel is called the Federal Reserve. To illustrate the inner workings of the Federal Reserve, let’s tackle the hardest part first: How international banks operate.

Pretend for a moment you own a bank and our nation is on the gold standard. Your bank’s customers don’t want to lug around heavy gold so they deposit it in your bank. You then issue a receipt (paper money), guaranteeing that anyone in possession of the receipt can come to your bank and withdraw the face value of the receipt for that amount in gold.

Over time, other people “deposit” their gold with you until your vault is literally bulging with treasure and you simultaneously notice that your customers seldom ask for physical gold. You decide to lend more money using receipts rather than the gold on deposit.

Congratulations, you are now involved in “fractional reserve banking.” You are lending money that isn’t yours to begin with and praying to the money gods that there isn’t a “run” on the bank, where all the receipt-holders demand their gold deposits back.

You grow fat and happy collecting interest on loans backed by non-existent gold. You have at that point created inflation. If, let’s say, you have $100 in gold but have issued $200 in paper money, the paper is really only worth $100. You have inflated the value of the paper by 50 percent.

Now let’s switch from the theory of banking to the reality of the Federal Reserve. It all started in the mid to late 18^th Century in Europe with a little-known goldsmith, Meyer Amschel Bauer in Frankfort, Germany.

At that time, goldsmiths minted and stored gold coins for their customers gradually evolving the practice into merchant and then fractional reserve banking. As his business grew, Bauer changed his name to Rothschild, giving birth to the largest financial dynasty in the history of the world.

Meyer later had five sons, who eventually established banking businesses in five large European cities. The Rothschild family specialized in making large loans to governments, usuallly to finance wars, and gradually came to exert enormous influence in political affairs. Their power was magnified by their influence over, or control of, central banks. Meyer Amschel Rothschild once commented, “Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws.”

Throughout history, you will see the importance of money in the big picture. A good rule for keeping track of the inner workings of the banking conspiracy and eventually, the Federal Reserve, is this: follow the money.

During the formation of our country central banking was hotly debated. In 1781, before the Constitution was ratified, the Continental Congress chartered its first central bank, the Bank of North America. The bank issued paper money far in excess of its gold holdings. The result was inflation, leading quickly to a nearly worthless currency and the expression “not worth a Continental.”

The Bank of the United States also was chartered for a 20-year period. This was promoted by Alexander Hamilton, then secretary of treasury, and one of the first advocates of big government. The Bank of the United States was our second central bank, the Bank of North America being the first.

The international bankers wanted the newly formed government to give them the “right” to control the coinage of money and the issuance of paper money. Since the bankers had twice been thwarted in their scheme to gain control of our money supply, they found it imperative to get “their” people into high governmental positions. But first they had to get rid of President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt.

The last central bank had been vigorously opposed by President Andrew Jackson and its charter was allowed to expire in 1836. The bankers engineered a financial panic which led to a depression in 1907.

In 1910, a small group of international bankers, together with Senator Nelson Aldrich and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury A. Piatt Andrew secretly met at J.P. Morgan's Jekyll Island Hunt Club, a private island preserve off Brunswick, Georgia. They planned to form a private banking cartel in America similar to the ones in Europe controlled by the Rothschild bankers. This soon became the Federal Reserve System.

The challenge then became getting the U.S. Congress to approve their scheme. Republican Teddy Roosevelt was fairly popular with the voters, on his way to reelection and was considered highly unlikely to support the bankers' plan. His Democratic opponent, Woodrow Wilson was much more agreeable to the globalist agenda. So the conspirators persuaded Republican Roosevelt to run on the Progressive Party (Bull Moose) ticket and gave him considerable financial support. This split the Republican vote and led to the election of globalist puppet Democrat Woodrow Wilson.

Wilson’s election paved the way for three major abominations: The Income Tax, the Federal Reserve System and U.S. entry into World War I.

The Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution, also known as the Income Tax Amendment, was supposedly ratified in 1913 but subsequent scholars can find no evidence of ratification. The Sixteenth Amendment did not repeal the existing constitutional provisions relating to taxes and created no new taxing powers. The book, “The Law That Never Was,” by Bill Benson and Red Beckman, proved that assertion. The bottom line is that the income tax was never ratified and has been a massive fraud from the outset.

We didn't have nor did we need an income tax until we got the Federal Reserve. The income tax was only needed to pay interest to the bankers for our own money that they loan to our government.　Yes, you read that right, the Fed, mostly on paper and computer, creates money out of thin air, pays the treasury a small printing fee then loans the money to our government. Our taxes pay the interest on this loan that costs the Fed virtually nothing to make. What a sweetheart deal they have going for them. Very little of our federal tax dollars go to running the country. We’re doing that on borrowed money from, guess who, the Fed.
　
The single worst year in U.S. history, in my opinion, was 1913. For starters we got the income tax and the Federal Reserve Act. The final vote occurred in the U.S. Senate December 22, when most members of Congress were home for Christmas and only five selected senators were present at the evening session. This Act created a private banking cartel entirely owned by the bankers, which allows them total control over our economy. The only connection to our government is that the President nominally appoints members to the Federal Reserve Board for 14-year terms. Paul Warburg, a German national, international banker and one of the Jekyll Island conspirators, became the first chairman of the Federal Reserve Board in 1914. A Rothschild brother, Max, was financing Germany's involvement in World War I at the same time.

The history of international banking is a bloody one. All wars in modern times have been instigated by the greed of the international bankers who lend vast sums of money at usurious interest rates to the governments of the conflicting nations. This ensured big bankers their investments would be returned and international businesses would profit. For example, E.I. Dupont, who manufactured gunpowder during World War I, profited -- no matter which side fired the shots.

During the height of WWI, 1916 to be exact, Wilson was reelected, largely on the basis of the campaign slogan, “he kept us out of war.” Actually he was planning to get the United States into the war all along. Shortly after his inauguration and the deliberately provoked sinking of the munitions-carrying passenger liner Lusitania by a German submarine, the United States declared war on Germany. The Rothschild-controlled Federal Reserve was now at war with the Rothschild-financed German nation. How could they possibly lose?
Russian Tsar Nicholas II abdicated in 1917 and the Communists took over Russia. The international bankers in New York confiscated some $100 million worth of the Tsar's gold on deposit with them. After the theft of the gold, the Russian royal family was executed.

The war ended in 1918. The five-year period from 1913 to 1918 saw the U.S. taxpayer raped, the U.S. Treasury emptied, a world war, the Communist destruction of the Russian empire and the Rothschilds and other International bankers become filthy rich. The war cost U.S. taxpayers alone $22,625,253,000. Great Britain and Germany paid even more to the international bankers to finance their side of the war.

The human suffering from the war was incalculable. The total number of casualties, both military and civilian, was about 37 million: 16 million deaths and 21 million wounded. With the blood and suffering of millions, the international bankers, including the Federal Reserve, more than represent an evil empire - they are an evil empire.

GROUNDS FOR SECESSION

Several questions must be asked and answered before any state or group of states considers nullification or secession. The same questions should be asked and answered by voters before deciding or supporting nullificaton or secession. Let’s look at a few of them.

First and foremost the questions must be, are we willing to risk everything as our Founders did, or will our actions be nothing but lip-service? Are we willing to take our weapons off the wall as the Minute Men of colonial days? Do we firmly believe our stand is just or are we reacting out of anger and passion alone? Will we simply blow off steam, or will we actually follow through? These are serious questions and must be given considerable thought.

The federal government says nullification and secession are “against the law,” so to speak, and that questions about nullification and secession were answered via the Civil War. To that argument, I say hogwash. Our rights are God-given, not government issued and among them is the right of self-determination. Our forefathers didn’t ask for, indeed, wouldn’t have considered asking for approval from the King of England before they seceded from British rule.

The Southern Confederacy several times asked for relief from onerous Northern tariffs. The north refused.  Finally, after Southern nullification failed, the secession began. They did not ask permission to secede - they just did it.

The Declaration of Independence says quite eloquently: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government…"
And: “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security…”

Again, the questions. Have there been a “long train of abuses and usurpations” designed to reduce us to “absolute despotism?” In my opinion - yes.

1.      The federal government has not given us a militia, but rather a standing army, a clear violation of the Constitution. It has involved our military in “brush-fire“ conflicts making us the police force of the world, without specific congressional approval, relying instead on the “War Powers Act.”;
2.       By repeated use of Executive Orders, the office of President has become little more than a dictatorship, and by-passing Congress, has issued unconstitutional edicts;
3.      The judiciary has, under color of law, rewritten parts of the Constitution overturning the clear will of the people as expressed by voting in some elections;
4.      The current occupant of the White House has never proven his constitutional right to hold that office;
5.      Many members of Congress, several serving as president and many in the judiciary, violated their oaths of office in which they pledged to protect and defend the Constitution;
6. The government has on several occasions interfered with free elections;
7.      Several presidents have appointed so-called czars and allowed them to serve without congressional oversight and rule by regulation and decree;
8.     Many in the federal government are openly violating the Second Amendment and are passing unconstitutional laws restricting the Right of the People to keep and bear arms;
9.      First and Fourth Amendment rights have been attacked with unconstitutional laws and acts;
10.    The federal government, with no regard for future generations, borrowed money from foreign powers and placed our nation deeply into debt;
11.    The government has failed to provide border security and is working to promote a “no-border” policy with Mexico and Canada. Our governments acts are destroying our national sovereignty and placing us in an unconstitutional alliance with foreign powers;
12.     The government has taken our nation off the gold and silver standard and placed congressional power to coin money with an unconstitutional central bank, deceitfully using the term “Federal Reserve.” The Federal Reserve is a private corporation mostly owned by foreign investors and banks;
13.     The federal government has claimed passage of the 16^th Amendment (income tax). The 16^th Amendment was never ratified;
14.     The federal government has repeatedly caused our nation to disarm under the guise of nuclear non-proliferation treaties even as our enemies continue to arm themselves;
15.     The government, through treaties such as NAFTA and GATT, allowed our industrial base to move to foreign nations, placing our nation at grave danger should we be attacked by a foreign army;
16.     Congress has failed to pass constitutional laws by illegally delegating law-making and enforcement powers to a massive federal bureaucracy.

I could continue wirhout much trouble. In short, our government has totally failed to uphold the Constitution.

Our nation would be better served if the 112^th Congress simply de-funds programs such as Obamacare and pork barrel spending. But de-funding alone won’t solve all the problems our nation faces. We simply must hold the government’s feet to the fire with constant threats of nullification and even secession.

Thomas Jefferson said it best. "God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...

“And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

The question remains, will a state be forced to act alone or will there eventually be a confederation of sister states willing to take the plunge? Will we unite against our common enemy - the federal state? Will the action be economically feasible. Could enough revenue be generated to sustain a secession or be able to financially fight through nullification?

At least 24 states have nullified or threatened to nullify certain federal actions. Chief among them are taxation, runaway spending and unconstitutional federal law, such as government controlled health care. The Federal Government also needs to end U.S. membership in the United Nations. We need to send all U.N. delegates home and sever our relationship with that unconstitutional body. Then we must eliminate the central banking system (Federal Reserve), end the use of fiat (un-backed paper) money and return to the gold standard. Of course, eliminate unconstitutional gun control.

One thing is certain. Right or wrong, it is time to take sides. We cannot be caught sitting idly on the sidelines but must join in the battle for restoration of our freedom and liberty.

So what do we do about it? Jefferson again gave us the answer. In 1798 he wrote that “whensoever” the federal government “assumes undelegated powers,” that a “nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.”

 Notice that Jefferson didn’t tell us that a nullification of the act is a “good idea” – or that we should first try federal lawsuits or wait for the next election cycle. He said, in fact, that every time Congress exercises powers not delegated to it – every time – it must be resisted on a state level. When states pass laws rejecting unconstitutional federal laws – this is not a rebellion – but our constitutional duty.
